Enriched Character – Fourth Ave by Interior Concepts

A 1960s family home in Melbourne receives a sleek interior upgrade from Interior Concepts, featuring the EGGER TM28 PerfectSense® Feelwood Panel from ForestOne. Used throughout, TM28 enriches the aesthetic while offering an ease of maintenance that the young family can enjoy.

Tasked with modernising the clients’ family home, Interior Concepts Managing Director Amanda Monaghan sought to create a striking interior that provides an unexpected counterpoint to the 1960s exterior. There were also practical considerations – namely that Fourth Ave is home to a family with three young children – so Interior Concepts only considered “materials that would offer ease of maintenance while delivering the desired aesthetic,” says Amanda.

With its woodgrain-like texture and matte black finish, the new TM28 PerfectSense Feelwood Panel from EGGER satisfied both the aesthetic and the hardwearing requirements of the project. This combination of PerfectSense and Feelwood range, elevates the home’s interior design with its authentic natural look and tactile experience of a veneer. Employed within the kitchen, butler’s pantry, entrance hall, bathroom and walk-in-robe, the TM28 captures the essence of real timber to impart a natural-looking warmth. “The TM28 panel elevates the interior and gives a very distinctive and dramatic look to the overall scheme,” says Amanda. “TM28 offers an authentic looking solid wood finish in addition to fingerprint-proof technology, which was another key factor in the decision-making process.” Additionally, the TM28 boasts a sustainable design with 87 per cent renewable resources, and 65 per cent recycled content, further enhancing the wellbeing of the home and its owners.

To provide an accent and create balance, Amanda selected EGGER’s wood-based décor products in shades of soft grey and sea salt green. With its anti-fingerprint and anti-bacterial properties, together with its sustainable production, the pre-finished panel was a natural choice for Fourth Ave, says Amanda. The matte finish and subtle contrast in textures elevates the interior space. “We wanted to create a unique offering in the area and to reflect our personality,” Amanda explains.

Establishing a dramatic expression, the TM28 PerfectSense Feelwood Panel by EGGER offers a distinctive style to uplift the interior space. In considering the panels’ practical properties and sustainable production, Amanda at Interior Concepts was able to provide her clients with an interior that is easily maintained and supports the lifestyle of their young family.
