Why Choose Structural Plywood?

Structural plywood is a reliable and widely used material in construction due to its strength, stability and versatility. Engineered to meet strict performance standards, it is designed to handle load-bearing applications while maintaining long-term durability.

Its cross-laminated construction provides consistent strength, making it suitable for structural framing, bracing and flooring systems. This ensures dependable performance across a variety of building applications.

Structural plywood is also a cost-effective solution for construction projects, offering high performance compared to alternative materials. Available in a range of grades, thicknesses and treatments, it can be tailored to suit different environmental conditions and project requirements.

Whether used for residential or commercial builds, structural plywood delivers a balance of strength, reliability and efficiency.

Hardwood Bracing

Hardwood Bracing is an imported hardwood plywood made especially for the structural bracing of houses. It is manufactured to AS/NZS 2269 and is available as either F22 or F27. Options include untreated, glue line treated to H2s (for south of the tropic of Capricorn), or LOSP treated H2.

Advantages

  • Thin and light weight but rugged and durable on site.
  • Easy to clad over with minimal deflection.

Pine Bracing

Pine F8 bracing plywood is manufactured to the AS/NZS 2269 structural plywood standard using phenolic adhesive to provide a permanent A-Bond.

Advantages

  • Rugged and durable on site.
  • Made from plantation radiata pine.

OSB Bracing

ForestOne’s OSB Bracing is a 6mm bracing panels with formaldehyde free resin. It is available as H2 anti-termite for North and South of the Tropic of Capricorn. It is engineered and tested to comply with performance requirements of the Australian National Construction Code (NCC).

Advantages

  • Legally sourced wood fibre
  • Safe and easy building process
  • Fast construction
  • Easy to handle

FORM-PLY

Form-ply is made with a high-density overlay (HDO) of phenolic resin impregnated paper bonded to plywood. Form-ply is ideal for concrete formwork.
The overlay helps to protect the hardwood face veneer as well providing a sound surface for the poured concrete. The offer is manufactured to AS 6669 for Plywood - Formwork

ForestOne Formwork Solutions

A significant feature of Form-ply is the coating which prevents concrete adhering. The coating also protects face veneers and is moisture resistant.

Form-ply is used in formwork applications such as decks, retaining walls, pre-cast, and tilt-up panel construction, tableforms, shutters, and heavy civil engineering and mining applications.

Black Stallion F17

An imported Form-ply constructed from mixed species veneers with eucalyptus core veneers, a plantation hardwood face and phenolic overlay. F17 is ideal for general formwork use such as decks, retaining walls, bridges and culvert construction.

Birch F17

An imported formply made from Birch veneers, its multiply construction gives this very strong plywood less variation in properties parallel and perpendicular to the face grain, enhancing panel stability and utility. Birch F17 is overlaid with a durable resin impregnated paper to give the concrete a smooth finish.

Formply F11, F14, F17 and F27

ForestOne carries a range of locally sourced Formply in multiple stress grades produced predominantly from Pinus Radiata veneers. These are glued with phenolic resin and overlaid with a durable resin impregnated paper to give the concrete a smooth finish. The phenolic finish and high-quality outer veneers make these durable and reusable.

Note: With proper on-site care and installation a good quality off-form finish can be achieved. Refer AS3610.

Structural Plywood

Structural products differ from other products because they have predictable reliable load and/or engineering design values.

They also use structural adhesive systems that can withstand both long term static loading without deformation, and long-term exposure to moisture and heat. There are a range of stress grades, most commonly F8 or F11. Glueline and envelope treatments can be provided where longer lasting applications are required. They are also used as cost effective solutions in non-decorative applications.

Our Structural Plywood is sourced both locally and internationally to the standard AS/NZS2269.

Applications:

  • Formwork
  • Beams
  • Structures
  • Bracing
  • Sub-flooring
  • Hoardings
  • Furniture
  • Boxes
  • Shelving

Exterior Cladding

Exterior Cladding forms a vital element to the outer layer or covering of a building’s structure.

It serves both functional and aesthetic purposes, protecting the building structure from the elements while enhancing its appearance.

The ForestOne selection of Exterior Cladding features panels from Weathertex, Shadowclad, Tricoya.
